IRCC Add 13 More Countries For Visa Free Travel To Canada: Canada is a popular destination for people looking to do business, visit, or reunite with friends and family. It is the reason that the IRCC is dedicated to enhancing Canadian immigration programs and other services by making them more efficient and equitable for all individuals from around the globe.

That’s why IRCC introduced a new (ETA) Electronic Travel Authorization program for people. This article will discuss IRCC’s adding 13 more countries For Visa Free Travel To Canada.

Visa Free Travel To Canada

According to the latest report news from the Honorable Minister of IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship), He announced the addition of 13 more countries for Eligible travelers, and they now qualify for visa free travel to Canada through the (ETA) Electronic Travel Authorization program.

Now, passport holders from these 13 specific countries can travel to Canada by air without requiring any (TRV) Temporary Residence Visa. However, It applies only to those from these countries who have had a Canadian visa in the last ten years or hold a valid US non-immigrant visa.

These travelers can now eligible to apply for an ETA program rather than a visa when traveling to Canada by air. Eligible travelers from these specific countries can take advantage of this program.

  • Argentina
  • Antigua and Barbuda
  • Costa Rica
  • Morocco
  • Philippines
  • Panama
  • St. Lucia
  • St. Vincent and the Grenadines
  • St. Kitts and Nevis
  • Seychelles
  • Trinidad and Tobago
  • Thailand
  • Uruguay

Introducing a new visa-free air travel to Canada means an ETA program will make it more comfortable, quicker, and more reasonable for thousands of individuals to visit Canada for up to 6 months for travel, business, or leisure.

It will also help increase Canada’s economy by promoting more tourism, travel, and international trade and strengthening Canada’s connections with these 13 mentioned counties while holding Canadians safe.

This decision also diverts many applications from Canada’s visa caseload and permits them to process new visa applications more efficiently, which will help all visa applications.

People with valid visas can continue using this to travel to Canada. Those People not qualified for an ETA program or traveling to Canada by means other than air (for example, by train, bus, car, or boat—including by cruise ship) will still require a visitor visa. Travelers can also visit the Canada.ca/eTA website to check their eligibility criteria for an eTA program and its application process.

Canada allows citizens from over 40 countries to enter without a visa, but they must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) if arriving by air. United States residents don’t need an ETA program or any other visa to enter Canada unless they move to work or study in Canada.

If you are a resident of a country that is not exempt from obtaining a visa, you must apply for a Temporary Residence Visa (TRV) or visitor visa. This type of visa allows you to stay in Canada for up to six months, although the duration may vary for some foreign residents.

Coming to Canada with a TRV visa doesn’t permit the holder to study or work in Canada. They may be asked to show that the objective of their visit to Canada is temporary (like visiting family or tourism) at their port of entry.
