From August 10, 2023, PTE Academic recognized for Student Direct Stream into Canada, and it is one of the exams that IRCC adds.
This approval of the PTE exam follows IRCC’s recognition before this year of PTE Core for a valid proof of English proficiency for Canadian permanent citizenship or residency.
SDS (Student Direct Stream) is an expedited study visa program for those who wish to apply to study in Canada from countries including Antigua and Barbuda, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, China, India, Morocco, Peru, Philippines, Peru, Pakistan, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad, and Tobago, Senegal, and Vietnam.
