New IRCC Client Experience Platform Can Start In Fall 2023

IRCC’s new Client Experience Platform is now being developed with a combined initial value of $85.4 million, seeking initial implementation in Fall 2023. This new platform will provide a more user-friendly interface for applicants to access all the IRCC services and programs. 

On 19th January 2023, the Canadian government called for proposals for the new Client Experience Platform, which remained open until 28th March 2023. 

Today, the Salesforce Canada Corporation and Canada-awarded Accenture are the two procures working in this area. Also, the immigration minister of Canada, Sean Fraser and the Minister of Procurement and Public Services, Helena Jeck, announced this today. 

The Accenture value of the contract is $74.9 million, while the Salesforce Canada Corporation contract value is $10.5 million.

The Salesforce Canada Corporation and the Accenture Corporation will help IRCC design, maintain, and implement the new client experience platform. 

IRCC is progressing with the early procurement of the new Client Experience Platform so that partners and clients can obtain benefits faster.

A group of clients is expected to have access to the new platform in Fall 2023, with work beginning in the upcoming summer season. 

Over the next few years, as the platform is completely implemented, clients will be empowered with the necessary tools to enjoy a seamless experience. It will enable IRCC to personalize services and replace all the old client’s tools and portals.

Salesforce Canada Corporation, a software-as-a-service provider, is responsible for the platform’s core technology, support,  licensing, and maintenance. Their contract is for five years, and they can renew it for extra fifteen years. 

Accenture Inc., a systems developer, will assist in setting up, customizing, and implementing the new platform following the requirements. The agreement is only valid for 2 years but can be extended to 5 more years.

The Canadian government is implementing a distinct procedure to acquire the Case Management Platform, which will collaborate with the Client Experience Platform to manage applications. This contract process is expected to complete by the spring of 2024. 

IRCC aims to establish a more robust immigration system that prioritizes individuals, families, and communities, resolves workforce deficits, is adaptable to international humanitarian crises and helps those most in need.
