MLA, APA, and Chicago are the three most common citation formats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>MLA format<\/strong> is typically used for literary research papers and uses a \u2018works cited\u2019 page at the end. This format requires in-text citations.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>APA format<\/strong> is used by researchers in the social sciences field and requires in-text citations as well.
