In an effort to reduce fears, the largest and most well-known university in Canada, the University of Toronto, has issued a new statement extending help to all Indian students registered at the university.

Vice President of the University of Toronto, Joseph Wong, said in a post on the social media platform that the university is proud to welcome so many students from India country to our campuses.
Also, the university is dedicated to supporting them and our wider community during this difficult time.
The University of Toronto also shared some resources to help international students, including immigration and visa support, personal and academic support services, along a Mental Health Portal.
Undergraduate students can easily access academic support through a helpdesk where they can contact their respective faculty or college registrar. Meanwhile, graduate students can seek guidance from their department or the school of graduate studies.
The University said in a statement that it is dedicated to maintaining its ongoing partnerships in India, which foster academic collaborations across a broad spectrum of fields and offer priceless opportunities for global learning to students.

The university reaffirms its commitment to fostering relationships with Canadian travelers through online channels despite the temporary suspension of visa processing.
The University of Toronto is home to over 2,400 Indian students. Based on the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) Data, around 226,450 Canadian visas were approved for Indian students in 2022.
