PM Modi said when I arrived in France last time, it was decided that all the Indian candidates who wanted to study in France would be given a 2-year post-study work visa.
But now, it has been decided that all the Indian candidates pursuing master’s degrees in France will be given a 5-year post-study visa.
During his address, PM Modi recognized the significant contribution of the Indian community in France, which has helped to establish a strong foundation for the partnership between India and France.

Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said last year that France plans to invite around 20,000 Indian candidates to the country by the year 2025.
According to Colonna, the plan is highly ambitious. The goal is to have 20,000 Indian students studying in France by 2025, a significant increase from approximately 5,000. Despite the challenge, Colonna believes there is unlimited potential for collaboration between India and France.
